![]() ![]() Christ didn’t deserve to bear our punishment but did so to show the depths of His love to lost sinners. Instead, we are given what we need: eternal life in the presence of the One who bore the sins of the world upon His shoulders. Thanks to Christ’s death on the cross, we don’t have to receive what we deserve. But, we reminded one another, what fallen people like us truly deserve is eternal separation from God. Good news for rain-soaked Iowans, we agreed. We deserve an annihilating flood, but thanks to God’s promise to Noah, we aren’t going to get one. ![]() According to the Bible, we don’t deserve sunny weather.
